HSF offers inpatient and outpatient mental health care. Participants who need higher levels of care may be sent to San Francisco Community Behavioral Health Services (SFCBHS).

Prescription Medicines for Behavioral Health
Getting Care at a Medical Home
When getting care at your Medical Home, participants can only get medications that are on the Medical Home’s approved drug formulary.
Getting Care at SFCBHS
When getting care at SFCBHS:
- Participants can only get medicine prescribed by an SFCBHS provider
- The pharmacy will check with SFCBHS to make sure participants are eligible
- Only SFCBHS providers can prescribe certain psychiatric medications on the SFCBHS formulary
