The Healthy San Francisco Program includes access to inpatient and outpatient mental health services. This includes primary care-level behavioral health services. Some participants who require a higher level of behavioral health services may be referred to San Francisco Community Behavioral Health Services (SFCBHS). More information about SFCBHS is provided below:

Prescription Medications
Participants Receiving Behavioral Health Services at the Healthy San Francisco Medical Home
Healthy San Francisco Participants receiving behavioral health care at their primary care home are authorized to receive only those medications listed on their Medical Home’s Drug Formulary.
Participants Receiving Behavioral Health Services through San Francisco Community Behavioral Health Services (SFCBHS)
The pharmacy will consult the SFCBHS Pharmacy Benefits Management company (PBM) to confirm that the patient is eligible for services and that the prescribing provider is a SFCBHS provider. Only SFCBHS providers can access specialty psychiatric medications on the SFCBHS formulary.
